Graphite Felt/Carbon Fiber for High Temperature Furnace

It is obtained from high-quality polypropylene nitrile based carbon felt after special high-temperature graphitization. It has the properties of light weight, good disturbance, high carbon content, high temperature resistance, high temperature non volatilization, corrosion resistance, small thermal conductivity, and high shape retention
(1) the adsorption capacity of graphite felt is lower than that of carbon felt treated at low temperature by 2 orders of magnitude. For many closed vessel equipments that need to be vacuumized, the purity of atmosphere is a key parameter. However, it is difficult to vacuumize the vessel due to the high adsorption of carbon felt in low temperature treatment.(2) graphite felt has strong thermal oxidation resistance. The carbon structure without graphitization is a kind of disordered structure. The existence of various structural defects makes the layer spacing larger, and it is easy to be oxidized by the attack of oxygen atoms. However, the perfect lattice and ordered three-dimensional arrangement of high-temperature treated graphite felt greatly reduce the layer spacing, which is not easy to be attacked by oxygen atoms, thus greatly enhancing the oxidation resistance.
(3) the purity of graphite felt is high, and the carbon content is more than 99.5%, which will not pollute the processed workpiece. However, the carbon content of carbon felt treated at low temperature is generally lower than 93%, which is easy to cause environmental pollution in the furnace.
All in all, the high temperature treated graphite felt has better effect and longer service life than the low temperature carbon felt
